My entire life I've dreaded going to the dentist. I've been going to Ivy dental for 6 years now and I cannot say enough good things about this practice. The staff are welcoming, every hygienist is exceptional, and Dr. Harding and Dr. Crowder are kind, personable, and knowledgable. I've learned more best-practices about dental hygiene in the past 6 years than I've ever learned from previous dentists. Their new location is beautiful and I love their eco-conscious practices. Every time I leave the office I'm left wondering how I ever dreaded the dentist because the experience at Ivy Dental is so positive. 10/10 recommend!

My entire life I've dreaded going to the dentist. I've been going to Ivy dental for 6 years now and I cannot say enough good things about this practice. The staff are welcoming, every hygienist is exceptional, and Dr. Harding and Dr. Crowder are kind, personable, and knowledgable. My teeth have a hereditary enamel defect and there's also been some tooth resorption on several of them, which makes them very sensitive when I go for cleanings (which I have to do every 3-4 months.) Yesterday was my first time seeing the dental hygienist "Alex" at Ivy Dental. I have had dental cleanings from hell in the past, partly because of my particular situation, but sometimes because the hygienist just didn't take my sensitivities seriously enough. What a great relief when Alex patiently listened to all the details that would help him figure out how to do a good job of cleaning my teeth without sending me through the ceiling! His attention and compassion did the trick -- I left with clean teeth, and the knowledge that I don't have to worry ahead of time about how I'm going to be rough-housed in my cleaning appointments any more. Thank you so much, Alex! What a gift you are to our community! : )

It was overall a positive experience. The hygienist was friendly & talkative. - all good. But when I mentioned that I did not want the cavitron used for teeth cleaning, she got noticeably quiet. This made me feel self-conscious/uneasy.

Dr. Crowder and her assistant Carrie were also very personable, genuine, and made my overall cleaning such a breeze. I am currently in braces, so I know it wasn’t quite as easy for them, but they both did such a great job. I’m looking forward to my next visit and I would highly recommend Ivy Dental to any family or friend.

Staff is very kind, professional and thorough. I only trust Ivy Dental for my smile, and when referrals are needed Dr. Harding always has a great network of professionals to suggest. I switched to Ivy Dental in the last year, after I lost confidence in the previous practice I'd been with after it was bought by a younger dentist. I spent a long time searching all the websites of Charlottesville area dentists. My expectation of excellence at Ivy Dental has been more than met. What is unique is that Dr. Harding asks more questions about what my treatment objective is and whether I'm comfortable as she works than any dentist I've been to before. She is wonderful!

yesterday had a dental cleaning with Jennifer Lewis at Ivy Dental and she was excellent. She was very thoughtful and if I had any sensitivity, she helped me out with that and she was very personable and friendly. And of course I always love seeing Emily Harding when she comes in to check things out during my dental visit. She’s a wonderful person as well. I highly recommend ivy dental

Very impressed with the care I received at Ivy. It made me realize how much I had been taken advantage of and also mistreated at other practices. The high level of attention to my records, x-rays and exam was reassuring, and I wasn’t made to feel like I was being sold to just for going to the dentist and trying to take care of myself. The dentist is amazing and so is her staff.

Parking isn’t the most ideal, especially if you have a larger vehicle but this practice is conveniently located near campus and downtown.

Very pleased with my 1st visit with Dr Crowder this morning. Was experiencing severe tooth ache. A couple quick x-rays and gum assessment and they located the source of my pain and took time to shift her schedule to do a wisdom tooth extraction. Was pleasantly surprised at how quick and painless
They made the entire process. Will be returning in the future and would definitely recommend her services to anyone seeking a good dentist ! 🤓

I’ve always needed sedation for anything other than a normal cleaning.
Dr. Harding was amazingly considerate of my fears. For the first time in over 15 years I had drilling without anxiety, panic, sweating, or sedation.

Silly fun group of people who made a dental visit warm and inviting.
It all started with the wonderful and kind folks at reception and carried on to the exam room. Kristy explained every step of the processes and shared her findings and regimen suggestions. I wish I had 2 more hands so I could give them 4 thumbs up

I have been going to Ivy Dental for several years. A crown screwed into an implant - that predates Ivy Dental - managed to unscrew itself. This is unusual and presents quite a challenge. Dr. Harding was up for it, of course. Today, she performed the delicate process of reinstalling the crown into the implant. She is, as always, master of the situation. Dr. Harding is cheerful, patient, and relentless in doing the best job down to the last detail.

God really placed this clinic in my path. I used to have a great fear of the dentist due to painful experiences with braces as a child, as well as root canals from years of neglect due to depression. The whole team made me feel welcomed and not ashamed of not being able to care for myself. I have felt no pain since having multiple procedures done at Ivy Dental. God bless this team and all the kindness they have showed me from the front staff welcoming team to the assistants, hygienists, and dentists. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
